Before I share baby Spencer’s birth story please know that no photos are ever shared without mom’s approval. 🙂 Diana and John decided that they wanted to hire a birth photographer very close to their due date. Luckily we were able to meet in person just three days before baby Spencer was born. On the morning of July 29th I received a message from John saying that they were on their way to The Evergreen Health Medical Center in Kirkland and that baby will most likely arrive that day. Three hours later John texted me with an updated that Diana was definitely in active labor and that it was time for me to head out to the hospital. I grabbed my camera bag and made it from Seattle to Kirkland within 30 minutes. When I got to the hospital I started documenting everything that was happening and I was so impressed to see how amazing Diana was holding up and how quickly everything was progressing. It was so inspiring to see how she was able to go through labor without any medication. She made it look easy even though we all know that it wasn’t. I also couldn’t believe how sweet and adorable their daughter Arabella was during the process. She was helping comfort her mom during labor, while waiting for her baby brother. It was one of the sweets things I’ve every seen. She was so curious of the process and she just couldn’t wait to meet her baby brother. Adorable baby Spencer was born at 2:00PM and it was such an incredible experience to be there to photograph his birth. The next morning I returned to the hospital to take their fresh 48 photos before they headed home. I’m so thankful for my clients to allow me to share their beautiful birth story. I love being a birth photographer and always feel so honored to document these intimate moments that I know will be cherished for a lifetime.
