Just to let you know, no photos are ever shared without mom’s approval :). From the moment I met Angela and Greg to talk about their birth photography, I knew that they would be amazing to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience photographing my very first birth story. On December 14th at 8:30PM, Angela texted me that she was on her way to The UW Medical Center Hospital in Seattle and that they will let me know when it was time for me to head out. I figured I still had lots of time, but I had everything ready to go and couldn’t stop checking my phone. At 1:30AM I received a text from Greg that Angela was 4cm dilated and it was time for me to slowly start heading out to the hospital. I arrived 30 minutes later and Greg texted me again saying that she was already 7cm dilated and things were progressing very quickly. As I walked into the labor and delivery room the nurse grabbed me and said, “Quickly put your things down the baby is coming.” I almost missed it! Luckily I was there right in time to document adorable baby Siena enter the world. I’m so happy that everything went so quick and smooth for Angela, she was a total champ! There are no words to describe the excitement and emotions I felt while photographing Siena’s birth. I’m so thankful for the opportunity and Angela’s willingness to share their story! I can’t wait to officially start taking on birth photography clients in 2017 I just love being a birth photographer!
